Currently, fluorescent navigation is attracting attention as a next-generation endoscopic diagnostic technology. In the development of a fluorescent endoscope, optical parts for fluorescence image observation are densely packed in the distal end portion, so that it is a problem to increase the diameter. Previous studies have shown that a fluorescence spectroscopic endoscope with small diameter and high sensitivity can be realized by using excitation laser light with random speckle structure as illumination for fluorescence observation. In this report, we examined an optical fiber probe with an endoscope lens attached to a multi-mode fiber (MMF) for irradiation / detection of the proposed endoscope system and consider the problem at the time mounted it on a conventional fiber scope.
