[10p-W521-6] Kinetics of Reducing Graphene Oxide at Individual Sheet Level by Twilight Fluorescence Microscopy

Keywords:graphene oxide, reduction, reaction kinetics

Twilight fluorescence (TwiF) microscopy is applied to evaluate (1) changes of visible absorbance and (2) quenching of autofluorescence by the reduction reaction of individual graphene oxide sheets in a reacting solution. (1) corresponds to a recovery of the long pi-electron conjugation and (2) to deoxygenation with a restoration of local conjugation. Both data are analyzed by kinetic models to infer the nature of the reduction reaction.
