Reaction processes on titanium dioxide surfaces are still not well understood. In the present study, we investigated reaction processes on rutile and anatase titanium dioxide surfaces based on the electronic structure by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. We report on the exposure dependence in the reaction with water in detail.
