All-solid-state Li battery is a promising next-generation battery for electric vehicles. For practical solid-state battery applications, the development of high-power batteries using 5 V-class-cathode materials is important. However, few studies have aimed to achieve low interface resistance between solid electrolytes and cathode materials operating over 5 V. In this study, we succeeded in the quantitative evaluation of interface resistance above 5 V by the fabrication of thin film model electrodes using 5 V-class cathode LiCo0.5Mn1.5O4 epitaxial thin films.
