Organic/inorganic hybrid perovskite materials have good crystalline properties, such as low cost, simple synthesis, and can be applicable for a solution process. These are ideal choice for planar heterojunction solar cells. However, controllable growth of perovskite crystal films plays a key role in the photoelectric conversion efficiency of photovoltaic devices. And it is very important to deposit and grow high quality perovskite crystal films, including film formation method, crystallization process, crystal structure, morphology and grain size control of the films.Recently, we have promote an external electric-field (EEF) assisted crystallization technology.1) Electric field was introduced into the annealing process of perovskite films. Under the action of vertical applied EEF, perovskite crystals will grow preferentially along the direction of electric field, namely, the grains grow more closely along the vertical substrate. This direction is consistent with the direction of carrier conduction, which can effectively reduce the carrier conduction resistance. At the same time, this kind of out-of-plane crystallization can promote an in-plane stacking mode, thus forming larger perovskite grains. Besides, ion migration under electric field can effectively regulate the built-in electric field. The direction and degree of ion migration can be controlled by applying different EEFs. And then the ions accumulated at the interface can effectively control the built-in electric field.
