[11p-PB1-40] Microspectroscopic analysis of a plasmon mode on the plasmonic chip

Keywords:surface plasmon resonance, grating, spectroscopic imaging

Grating-coupled surface plasmon-filed enhanced fluorescence (GC-SPF) has been applied to highly-sensitive bio-detection and fluorescence imaging of cells using the plasmonic chip composed of the periodic structure coated with thin metal films. In fluorescence microscopic imaging, enhanced fluorescence images of cells were obtained, but we did not assigned the enhanced fluorescence to the intrinsic plasmon modes. Therefore, in this study, intrinsic plasmon modes were studied for plasmonic chip with 1D and 2D periodic structure by spectroscopic imaging under the two kinds of optical systems, reflection and transmission. Further, fluorescence enhancement spectra were also investigated with fluorescence microscope.
