Keywords:semiconducting polymers, organic photovoltaic cells, non-fullerene solar cells

In order to improve solar cell performances, a non-fullerene solar cell utilizing a phenanthrodithiophene-based p-type semiconducting polymers and a low-bandgap and small molecular-weight n-type semiconductor was fabricated and characterized. As a result, over 9% of power conversion efficiency was achieved. Furthermore, the relationship between thin-film structures and photovoltaic properties are also evaluated and discussed.
