[11p-S222-12] Current-Detected and EL-Detected Magnetic Resonance for Electron-Hole Pairs in Organic LED
Keywords:electron-hole pair, electron spin resonance, organic light emitting diode
In the operation process of organic LEDs, it has been assumed that electron-hole pairs are transiently generated as an intermediate state. However, since electron-hole pairs are formed via weak Coulomb interaction, it is difficult to distinguish the electronic state of the pairs from that of the carriers, and hence an effective detection technique has not been established. In this presentation, we demonstrate that the current detected magnetic resonance and the EL detected magnetic resonance techniques are effective for the selection detection of electron hole pairs, and also report on what kind of information on the OLED operation can be obtained from those measurements.
