Group VI transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are attracting growing attention. We study using first-principles, electronic properties of TMD single-walled nanotubes under uni-axial strains. Strong correlation between geometries and gap values found in this study will enable us to predict gap values regardless of nanotube radius and chalcogen atoms.
