[11p-W933-1] Synchrotron Radiation Analyses of Energy Devices

Masaharu Oshima1,2 (1.Univ. of Tokyo, ISSP, 2.Tokyo City Univ.)

Keywords:energy devices, synchrotron radiation analysis, electronic structure analysis

In order to realize sustainable society, it is necessary to drastically improve the functions and properties of energy generation devices, energy efficient devices and energy storage devices. Synchrotron radiation analyses are most suitable techniques for characterizing electronic structures of these devices. Nowadays, operando analyses of these devices during device operation are strongly required. In this talk, our latest results on polymer electrolyte fuel cells, water splitting photocatalysts, SiC trench MOSFET, GaN HEMT and Lithium ion batteries using synchrotron radiation will be introduced, and future prospects of electronic structure analysis with more advanced synchrotron radiation source will be discussed.
