We have developed a reflection-type scanning laser terahertz (THz) near-field imaging system for high-spatial resolution THz imaging of various shapes of samples. In the system, a sample is set in the vicinity of a local emission of THz light source that is generated in the process of an optical rectification in a nonlinear optical crystal. By detecting the amplitude of reflected THz waves, we successfully observed high-spatial resolution THz images of a piece of paraffin-embedded breast tissue with a resolution less than 10um.
