Three-dimensional light sensing is expected to be applied to a wide range of applications such as LiDAR for automated driving cars and mobile terminal face authentication system. We have proposed a non-mechanical beam sweeping device using a VCSEL amplifier with a DBR slow light waveguide structure and have been developing light source for 3D sensor. In this study, we report on the successful formation of high-resolution dot pattern by combining a device with foled-path VCSEL amplifier and a cylindrical lens array.
