[9a-M116-5] Fabrication of microtube structures using electrophoresis deposition assisted by laser trapping with a Laguerre-Gaussian beam
Keywords:Laser trapping, Electrophoresis deposition, Laguerre-Gaussian beam
We fabricated microtube structures using a novel electrophoretic deposition method assisted by laser trapping with a Laguerre-Gaussian beam (LG beam). The LG beam formed using a spatial light modulator had a ring-shaped intensity pattern. In a solution containing nanometer-scale colloidal Au particles, the LG beam focused on a conductive substrate gathered the nanoparticles in the ring shape, and the trapped nanoparticles were then electrophoretically deposited on the substrate by applying an electrical field. By moving the substrate downward during deposition, the microtube structures with inner diameters smaller than the diffraction limit of the optical system were successfully manufactured.
