[9a-W371-4] Vibrational Power Generation of Lead-Free Nb- and Lead-Perovskite Piezoelectrics

Piezoelectric vibrational electric power generators have attracted more attentions for power sources of IoT sensor devices. For this application, Lead-contained piezoelectric materials have been mainly studied. However, future regulations of no-use of Lead-contained materials give a large pressure for realizing high-performance Lead-free piezoelectric materials. To get to the goal, the precise measurement method of generation efficiency η needs. In the presentation, the comparison result between lead- and lead-free piezoelectric materials will give by using our developed ball-collision method. It was found that generation efficiency was proportional to Kp2/Qm, Kp; electro-mechanical coupling factor and Qm; mechanical quality factor. Development of materials of larger Kp and smaller Qm needs to realize the Lead-free piezoelectric power generator device.
