Titanium nitride (TiN) is an efficient photothermal converter when it forms nanostructures. In the current study, we measured the temperature of water on TiN nanostructures by Raman spectroscopy. While the linear temperature increase was recorded below ~20 mW,,aove ~20 mW a plateau region appeared in the superheated state. This unique feature is related mW highly thermal conductive sapphire substrate.
