△ [9a-W641-5] Ultrafast fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy by frequency-division multiplexing
Keywords:fluorescence lifetime, microscopy, ultrafast
We report ultrafast fluorescence lifetime imaging microscopy using frequency-division multiplexing. As a proof-of-concept demonstration, we obtained fluorescence lifetime images of fluorescent beads at a frame rate of 16,000 frames/sec using an intensity-modulated excitation beam array with a modulation bandwidth of ~200 MHz. This method has a wide variety of potential applications such as observation of fluorescence resonance energy transfer and fluorescence lifetime imaging flow cytometry.
