In the cavity optomechanics, the displacements of the mechanical oscillators are detected in a quantum manner with the electromagnetic fields. Recently the ground state cooling and several quantum manipulations of the oscillators have been reported. However, these experiments need strong probe tones to enhance the sensitivity of the measurement, which introduce the noise to those systems.
Here, we utilize the superconducting quantum circuits to implement the cavity optomechanical system. The nonlinearity of the Josephson junction plays an important role in stead of the radiation pressure of electromagnetic fields in the optomechanical systems. The strong nonlinearity of the Josephson junctions enhances the sensitivity of the measurement of the mechanical oscillators.
