[9p-M111-9] Macroscopic-Entangled-State Generation in Spin Ensembles and Their Application to Quantum Precision Measurements

Emi Yukawa1 (1.RIKEN)

Keywords:precision measurement, spin ensemble, hybrid quantum system

Our effort to manipulate quantum coherence has continued to realize a longer coherence time and we began to manipulate quantum coherence and entanglement in macroscopic states of matter. As a consequence, macroscopic entanglement is now used as a resource for improving sensitivity in precision measurements and sensings; however, it is necessary to circumvent experimental obstacles for a system to behave quantum mechanically in even larger scale. To tackle this problem, we develop the methods to recover degraded squeezed spin states in solid-state spin ensembles and the method to generate macroscopic superposition states within the life times of ultracold gases and trapped ions, which are numerically shown.
