Diamond is considered to be a promising candidate as a ablator material for inertial confinement fusion capsule. By the hot filament chemical vapor deposition, spherical diamond with the diameter of 500 µm and surface roughness of dozens of nanometer was obtained. Therefore, I have been developing a spherical diamond on several condition and characterized morphology and surface roughness for improving the surface roughness. In the presentation, I will talk about the dependence of the morphology and surface roughness of the diamond.
