Graphitic carbon nitride films were mainly synthesized with guanidine carbonate and melamine as source materials. (002) diffraction corresponding to the layer structure of CN sheets is distributed in the center of a pole figure. Therefore, CN sheets are basically parallel to the substrate. A fringe on optical R&T spectra is observed due to optical flatness of the surface.
