[9p-PB3-2] Fabrication of tert-butyl Phthalocyanine Thin Film by Bar-coating Method

The thin films of a solution-processable organic semiconductor, tetra-tert-butyl phthalocyanine, were fabricated by bar-coating method. The optical properties, crystal structure, and molecular orientation in the thin film were investigated. The columnar structure based on the molecular stacking appeared in the submillimeter-wide domains. The columnar axis was aligned to be parallel to the bar-sweep direction, and the molecular planes were inclined at ±80 ° from the bar-sweep direction. By optimizing the bar-coating condition, the dichroic ratio of 22 was exhibited at most as a result.
