▼ [9p-S421-12] Application of High Performance Hybrid Filter on CMOS Image Sensor for FRET Imaging
Keywords:CMOS Image Sensor, FRET, Filter
Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET) is a known method to study the interaction between molecules. Compared to a traditional fluorescence microscope, it is more suitable to apply an implantable image sensor for in-vivo FRET imaging due to its small size and good field-of-view. However, filters need to be applied to the image sensor to allow it to detect FRET activity. Hence, the purpose of this work is to design filters that will allow simultaneous detection of cyan and yellow fluorescence light on the image sensor, as well as blocking the excitation light. By applying multiple layers of filter on the image sensor, simultaneous detection of cyan and yellow fluorescent light is possible. Moreover, the excitation light extinction capability of the filters can reach up to -56.2 dB, which is good enough for fluorescence imaging. This image sensor will then be applied to detect fluorescence from in-vitro and in-vivo FRET imaging experiment.
