Currently, various gene transfection methods are put to practical use. Among them, The gene / molecule introduction method using surface discharge enables a wide range of gene introduction with a single treatment, and it is possible to efficiently obtain the transferred cells. In this research, we tried to clarify the molecular size dependence of the transfection efficiency in surface discharge method as part of clarification of the transfection mechanism for practical application. Furthermore, the relationship between molecular weight of DNA and collision frequency of DNA molecule and cell membrane was calculated and the effect of the molecular weight on introduction was discussed.
