Keywords:thermal coefficient of redox potential, polymer, tertiary battery

We propose “tertiary battery” which can be charged with thermal energy. In order to put “tertiary battery” into practical use, it is important to explore, develop and design materials with large thermal coefficient(α). From a thermodynamic point of view, α is equivalent to ΔS/e, where e and ΔS are the elementary charge and the differences in the entropy (S) of the system before and after chemical reaction. Therefore, in this study, we focused on some polymers and investigated α for each them.
