[9p-W621-14] Plasmon Resonance of Ag Nanoparticles in Nuclear Plates for Dark Matter Detectopn
Keywords:dark matter, Ag nanoparticle, plasmon resonance
Dark matter is one of the most important subjects in physics. We are trying to detect DM particles by use of a nuclear plate with AgBrI grains, which are converted to 30nm Ag grains to form tracks by development process after receiving DM-induced spoil nuclei. While the scattered light spotts owing to the plasmon resonance of the Ag grains are subjected to an optical microscope, it is concerned that AgI membranes formed on the Ag grains might deteriorate the resonance. We have characterize the Ag grains in the nucrear plate by photoelectron spectroscopy, and inproved the brightness of the spotts by reducing the AgI membranes to Ag.
