We have developed a technique to estimate human skin parameters from spectral reflectance, but sometimes estimating such parameters as melanin and hemoglobin contents becomes difficult due to ambiguity; similar spectral reflectance curves obtained from different skin optical parameters. We investigated this problem by simulating spectra and point spread functions using Monte Carlo method.
