Keywords:III-V solar cell, Hydrogen generation, platinum black catalyst

For hydrogen generation, InGaP/GaAs/Ge 3-junction solar cell with electroless platinum black plating and IrO2 of the counter electrode were prepared in the electrolyte KHCO3 solution. The amount of hydrogen produced was measured, irradiating the solar cell with a quasi-solar light. The reaction current obtained in this experiment was confirmed to deteriorate by about 20% after 10 hours. With respect to the antireflection film on the surface, no significant discoloration was observed in this sample, but it was observed that the catalyst surface was corroded.
