[10p-Z27-7] Functionalization of Porous Membrane for the Production of Hypochlorous Acid Water by Boehmite Treatment
Keywords:Hypochlorous Acid, Virus, Chloride ion
In a three-chamber electrolysis apparatus for electrolyzing salt, a membrane that produces hypochlorous acid water in the anode chamber and selectively passes chloride ions is used, but it is generally expensive and inferior in durability. Since the fluorine-based porous membrane, which is inexpensive and has excellent durability, allows sodium ions to pass through at the same time as chloride ions, sodium chloride is mixed in the hypochlorous acid water. In this presentatiion, the fluorine-based porous membrane was treated with stable boehmite, which is a type of aluminum oxide, to improve the chloride ion permeability and decrease the sodium ion permeability compared to the original membrane. The production efficiency of hypochlorous acid was improved.
