In this presentation, a novel platform of supramolecular devices, named π-ion gel transistor (PIGT), is reported. The π-ion gel is a nano-composite of fibers made of organic semiconductors and an enclosed ionic liquid. They are not only electrically but also ionically conductive due to the large spaces for the ionic liquid between semiconductive fibers. As a result, ultrafast responding time (<20 µs) beyond conventional accumulating-mode organic electrochemical transistors is achieved with high transconductance (133 µS).
