Mechano luminescence is a inovative visual sensing method for dynamic strain distribution accompanying mechanical stimulation. Here, we applied this mechanoluminescence to the visualization of complex and flexible bending behavior of flexible film materials, which has recently attracted attention with the release of flexible electronic devices, especially folding (foldable) phones. In particular, we have succeeded in detecting bending, fatigue, and microcrack generation in the fatigue process of flexible film materials, which has been a problem with several products in the past.
