In recent years, the biomedical field using non-thermal atmospheric-pressure plasma has attracted attention. In the biomedical application, it is considered that a phenomenon similar to cell death caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS) generated in the body, especially in cells, is reproduced by reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS) generated by plasma. In vitro experiments using cells, it is becoming clear that the effect on the cells is mainly due to RONS generated byplasma. If it is possible to supply RONS generated by plasma instead of ROS that leads to cell death in the living body, it will be possible to initiate new medical technology based on plasma. In the previous studies, we reported the results of the delivery of plasma generated RONS to a living body for various targets such as model skin using agarose film, cultured dermis, and live mouse. In this report, we will summarize the results so far and report the safety of direct irradiation of plasma to live targets.
