[12a-A407-7] Single-Molecule Methylation modification of microRNA For Cell Discrimination
Keywords:RNA, Tunnel-Current, Single-Molecule Detection
The amount of methylation in microRNA released from cells is important as an indicator of cell status, both in type and in modification. In this study, we measured single-molecule tunneling current of microRNA extracted from cancer cells of the digestive system using a nanogap electrode device. As a result, m6A and 5mC modifications were detected and quantified. This value was found to be equivalent to the value obtained by mass spectrometry. It was shown that this measurement method could evaluate cell status from microRNA.
