Keywords:skin volatiles, biofluorometry, sniff-cam

Biofluorometric sniff-cam for real-time imaging of transcutaneous volatiles (ethanol and acetaldehyde) was developed by incorporating in a CMOS sensor with and an enzyme mesh, UV-LED ring-light, skin-fitting device. The sniff-cam could be applied to the visualization of gaseous EtOH and AcH, respectively, by controlling pH in buffer solution, thus successfully resulting in a real-time imaging of transcutaneous volatile chemicals (EtOH and AcH) after drinking.
