Three dimensional topological insulator (TI) is insulator in the bulk, but exhibit Dirac surface states (SS). However, the SS is susceptible to contaminations and spectroscopic studies predict that the SS appears inhomogeneously on the surface. We have visualized the inhomogeneity on a typical 3D TI Bi2Se3 surface using femtosecond photoemission electron microscopy which has time, space, and energy resolutions.
