A novel coordination compound was designed, synthesized and investigated about basic photophysical properties as a red phosphor capable of blue excitation for application in backlight LED for liquid crystal displays. The phosphor [Eu (ntfa)3Fdpbp]2 successfully synthesized can be observed the narrow band of high-intensity red strong emission from europium by photosensitized energy transfer from the organic ligand aimed at. The decomposition temperature was 250℃, and we succeeded in obtaining a novel molecular phosphor capable of excitation in the blue band.
