[12p-A405-10] Evaluation of stability to solvents of photopolymerized liquid crystal film for LC particles fabrication

Yuto Iwata1, Hiroyuki Yoshida1, Masanori Ozaki1 (1.Osaka Univ.)

Keywords:liquid crystal colloid, photopolymerization

Some solvents were dropped on the cholesteric liquid crystal (ChLC) film, and the change of the reflection spectrum was evaluated. The change of the reflection spectrum was different depending on the type of the solvent and the photopolymerized time. By dropping aprotic solvents, the reflection spectrum was shifted to long wavelength transiently, then shifted to a short wavelength, and became a steady-state. The steady-state reflection wavelength shifted to a shorter than that before dropping. The shift of the reflection wavelength was dependent on δH of the solubility parameter of the solvent and the irradiation time.
