In recent years, flexible devices composed of polymer films have been developed. To enhance the mechanical durability of the devices, quantitative understanding of the mechanical properties of polymer films is important. The mechanical properties of polymer films are greatly influenced by molecular orientation in the film. However, the relationship between bending behavior and molecular orientation remains unclear. In this study, we analyzed surface strain of a bending polymer film with uniaxial molecular orientation. The analysis revealed the effect of the molecular orientation direction on the bending behavior.
