Keywords:organic light-emitting diodes, exciplex, operational stability

Exciplex systems exhibiting thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) hold a great potential to improve organic light-emitting diode (OLED) performances. However, the operational lifetime of current exciplex-based devices, unfortunately, falls far behind the requirement for commercialization. Herein, unwanted charge recombination on exciplex acceptor was proposed as a possible degradation mechanism. To solve this problem, TADF-type acceptor was utilized and resulted in a three-fold increase in device lifetime.
