The composites of Melon with 1.5 wt% MoO3 calcined under various conditions, especially temperatures and times, were evaluated based on the decomposition amount of Methyl Orange as an organic material. Various amounts of MoO3 were deposited on the Melon thin film in ultra-high vacuum, and the electronic state of the interface between Melon and MoO3 was directly observed by ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy (UPS) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). In addition, an energy diagram was depicted from the data obtained from the experiment. So, I will present the mechanism by which the photocatalytic activity of Melon is enhanced by the deposition of MoO3 by the Z-scheme model.
