Keywords:graphene, in-liquid plasma, alcohol

To clarify mechanism of high-speed synthesis of highly crystalline nanographene by in-liquid plasma irradiation of alcohol, effects of the type of alcohol raw material on the active species generated in plasma, nanographene and by-products were investigated in detail in graphene and liquid from the viewpoint of plasma irradiation time dependency. Optical emission spectroscopy, Raman spectra, and X-ray diffraction profiles suggest that OH radicals may contribute to the improvement of nanographene crystallinity.
