In the synthesis of nanographene by in-liquid plasma, various reactive species and by-products are generated, and plasma irradiation damage to the synthesized nanographene is also induced simultaneously, so the synthesis mechanism is not sufficiently clear. In order to elucidate the synthesis mechanism in this study, the generation of active species and the crystallinity change of nanographene with plasma irradiation time were investigated. These results suggested that the OH radical generated during the synthesis contributed to the crystallinity of nanographene.
