Although several solution-processible organic semiconductor materials having a mobility exceeding 10 cm2/Vs have been reported recently, there are very few reports of high mobility organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) using printed electrodes. In OTFTs using printed electrodes, self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) are commonly used, while the use of SAMs is not preferable from the viewpoint of a manufacturing process and stability. In this study, we succeeded in fabricating high mobility printed OTFTs without SAMs by using p-type organic semiconductor material TMTES-pentacene.
