In the Lα/Lo phase separated lipid membrane on the microwell substrate, the Lα phase lipid aggregates on the freestanding membrane over microwells. On the other hand, biotin-modified lipids are also localized in the Lα phase domain. We propose a method to arrange vesicles directly to freestanding lipid membranes using biotin-avidin interaction. It can also be expected to be applied to technology for controlling the arrangement of membrane proteins etc. on the nanobiodevice with a microwell substrate.
