[13p-A404-11] Improvement of pulse rounding in nanopore measurement

Keywords:nanopore, shape of pulse

In the nanopore measurement, a nano-sized through-hole formed in a thin film is filled with an electrolyte, and an ion current is measured when a voltage is applied thereto. When particles in the electrolyte solution pass through the nanopore by electrophoresis, ion transport in the nanopore is hindered, and the ionic current decreases. This change in ion current is blunted by the RC effect. We report that the cause of this blunting was relatively small resistance outside the nanopore.
