Keywords:photoemission spectroscopy

We have developped hv dependent high-sensitivity UV photoemission spectroscopy to investigate the valence density of states of materials including weak gap states. In this method, the normalization of the intensities of many spectra for different hv is necessary.
In the last meeting, we demonstrated constant final state method, in which the intensity at the fixed final state is plotted as a funciton of hv, worked well for organic samples. But for gold film, the abnormal intensity decay was observed at the onset region. In this study, we will discuss the possible reason of such abnormal intensity for gold film.
