We simulated the plasmonic properties of a single metal nanodisk excited by an optical vortex beam by a DDA method. The properties of the extinction spectra are related to the diameter and thickness ,and the material of nanodisk, and these spectra showed the sharper peak at shorter wavelength range than the cases of using linear polarized Gaussian beam. Focusing on the distribution of the photoelectric field at peak wavelength, the hexapole type mode was excited and it showed that the behavior of the resonance mode change while rotating over time, never seen in the case of the general excitation. It was found that the interesting plasmonic properties are reflecting the temporal and spatial phase change of incident optical vortex beam.
