[13p-B414-2] Engineering in superconducting quantum computers
Keywords:Superconducting quantum computer, Superconducting circuits, Quantum information processing
Superconducting qubits have been intensively study recently for quantum information processing. Artificial superconducting circuits, including capacitors, inductors, and Josephson junctions, provide qubits with both controllability and scalability. A short coherence time of 1 ns at the beginning has been dramatically improved more than a million times, and they are the most promising candidates for fault-tolerant quantum computers. In this talk, I introduce our recent progress on a scalable quantum information processor using a superconducting circuit. We have developed a system structure, which includes a qubit chip, coaxial cables for control, and an enclosure. The system is tileable so that we can make a large array of qubits by arranging a building block of the device. Required technologies for further scalability are also discussed.
