[13p-B414-7] Research and Development in Silicon-based Quantum Computers

Takahiro Mori1 (1.AIST)

Keywords:quantum computer, silicon

Companies and research institutes that have been responsible for semiconductor integrated device and circuit development have joined to quantum computer research, which has been the most notable feature of recent quantum computer research. Now the silicon quantum technology is evolving from the laboratory level to the industrial level; however, still the technology has a lot of issues compared to the conventional LSI technologies. In this talk, I am going to outline the research and development trends of silicon quantum computers and mention some technologies that will be important in the future from the viewpoint of hardware engineering.
