[13p-PA3-21] Vertical alignment of layered perovskite compounds by controlling crystal growth

Organic-inorganic layered perovskite compounds containing alkylamines and lead iodides have been expected to be applied to photovoltaics because of their excellent optical properties and high stability. Using general spin-coating method, inorganic semiconductor layers composed of lead iodide octahedrons tend to orient horizontal to the substrate. This orientation is not suitable for photovoltaics because the charge transport is prohibited by insulating organic layers. In this study, we tried to control the crystal growth and fabricate vertical oriented films by using bar-coat method. The effect of an additive with a higher boiling point than solvents was investigated.
