Keywords:spin diffusion length, spin current, spin injection

We fabricated a Hall-bar structure using a ferrimagnetic GdFeCo(Gd:Fe:Co=25:66:9) for the spin-polarized current injection terminal and a non-magnetic metal Au for the counter electrode, and confirmed the spin injection into ambipolar conductor YH2 by measuring the Hall effect. By measuring the Hall resistance at three different distances, it was estimated that the spin diffusion length of YH2 was about 43 μm. This supports the theoretical prediction that spin injection length increases inversely with charge polarization when electron spin and hole spin are injected into ambipolar conductor.
